Daniel was raised on a farm in Weinfelden (Wine Field), located in Northeastern Switzerland where his family has been growing grapes since the 1930’s, dominantly Pinot Noir. His dad was a Master Vintner and taught Daniel from an early age vineyard practices and work ethics.
After earning an M.S. degree in horticulture from the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Daniel was an instructor at the Agricultural College of Canton Thurgau where he taught biology, soil science, plant nutrition and crop production to future farmers. Daniel gained additional leadership experience as a Panzergrenadier 1st Lieutenant in the Swiss Army.
Fueled by the Irish saying “The safest place for a ship is a haven but that is not what it's built for”, Daniel collected his belongings and immigrated to the U.S. in 1998. He worked as a Vineyard Manager for WillaKenzie Estate in Yamhill for eleven years before joining Results Partners in the Spring of 2010. “I like working for RP because of all the interesting people we come into contact with, and it’s a pleasure to work for such a diverse clientele. Aside from a strong management team, I also enjoy working with an experienced and motivated crew who help us to make things happen in the vineyard.”
When not in a vineyard, you'll find Daniel and his wife Angelina in a pasture on their Yamhill ranch, where they breed, raise and sell high quality Registered Texas Longhorn cattle.
